What is a tab?
A guitar tab, or "Guitar Tablature" is a simple way to read music, and also an excellent way to learn valuable guitar techniques. It is characterized by having numbers to represent where to place your fingers on the fretboard, rather than notes representing which pitches to play.
How do I read a tab?
See the
Wikipedia Page for an in-depth explanation.
How can i fix an erroneous tab?
One way to help keep accurate tabs on the site is to rate them with the Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down system (See Below). Another way is to report the tab as inaccurate with the link found at the top and bottom of every tab on this site.
How do Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down work?
When a person views a tab they have the option to either say they liked (thumbs up) or disliked (thumbs down) that tab as a representation of that specific song. If a tab has the wrong fingering positions or is poorly made, a thumbs down will give that tab a lower rating; while the Thumbs Up button will give that tab a higher rating. Rating is defined as Thumbs Up / (Thumbs Up + Thumbs Down).
